Due to Mount Kilimanjaro’s proximity to the equator, this region does not experience the extremes of winter and summer weather, but rather dry and wet seasons. Therefore, the best time to climb Kilimanjaro tends to be the warmest and driest months (see Kilimanjaro weather).

Our 7 Days Kilimanjaro Climbing Machame Route Tour Itinerary Tanzania with Active Kilimanjaro, this itinerary will allow clients to have one extra night at Karanga Valley Camp before they reach a base of Mount Kilimanjaro 4600m Barafu Hut to rest waiting for a mid-night to start pushing to the roof of Africa.
Dar 1: Arrival Day
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport our guide will pick up and transfer you to Peace Hotel for last minutes gears check and overnight
Day 2: Drive from Arusha to Machame Gate
Start a day 1 Kilimanjaro Climb Machame Route just after an early breakfast, drive to Machame Gate for registration you then you will start your climb. Today is a nice leisurely hike through the tropical beautiful rain forest. As you pass through the rainforest, you are likely to spot colobus monkeys and wild birds’, Dinner and Overnight at Machame camp.
Day 3: Climb Kilimanjaro Machame Camp to Shira camp
From the Machame Hut, you cross the stream onto its west bank and follow the path up the steep rocky ridge – criss-crossing a few times before reaching Shira camp, at the base of a semi-circular wall of rocks, Dinner and overnight at Shira camp.
Day 4: Climb Kilimanjaro Shira camp to Barranco camp
From Shira camp, you hike to Lava Tower (15,000’) to acclimatize and then proceed down to Barranco Camp via the Great Barranco Wall. Tonight’s camp is one of the best on the mountain, Dinner and overnight at Barranco camp.
Day 5: Climb Kilimanjaro Barranco camp to Karanga Valley
A hike from Barranco Camp through the edge of great Barranco Wall – Breakfast; It’s a tough morning climb on a steep trail, but once you reach the top of the wall, the views are scenic and majestic, Dinner and overnight at Karanga camp.
Day 6: Climb Kilimanjaro Karanga Valley to Barafu Camp
The day will be shorter a hike than the previous days, trekking up to the base camp before your last ascent day to the summit. You must get lots of rest as you will need all your energy for the hike to the Roof of Africa – Uhuru Peak, Dinner and overnight at Barafu camp.
Day 7: Climb Kilimanjaro Summit to Mweka Camp
Final day where you will start pushing to the summit early after a midnight, the hike will take you Pole Pole from the Base to stela poin 4-5 hours. And from the Stela Point through the Crater Rim will take one hour and half to stop in the Roof Of Africa, at the Main Peak you will take quick pictures, then you start continue descending to burafu camp for breakfast / lunch with little rest before you descend to mweka camp, Dinner and overnight at Mweka Camp for overnight.
Day 8: Climb Kilimanjaro Mweka Camp to Arusha
On your final day, you will have a short three hour climb out, walking through the lush forest. You will meet our driver with the vehicle at the Mweka park gate to drive back to Peace Hotel in Arusha for the overnight waiting for a following day drive to Airport or Tanzania Safari.
Day 9: Departure Day
At any time depend on your schedule will transfer you to airport
